Kyle Hutzler serves as Executive Director for Asia Pacific Policy and Strategic Competitiveness, advising senior JPMorganChase leaders, clients, and government stakeholders on US-China, economic statecraft, trade and investment, supply chains, and technology issues.
Kyle was previously a consultant with McKinsey & Company, where he served a mix of public, private, and social sector clients. Kyle began his career at the US International Trade Commission and has also served as a strategist at the South China Morning Post in Hong Kong.
Kyle has authored or co-authored multiple studies, including on supply chain risk, American city diplomacy, and China’s interference operations. His work has been featured in diverse outlets and he is a co-editor of the American Literature in the World anthology.
Kyle holds a BA in Economics from Yale, an MA in Global Affairs from Tsinghua University, and an MBA from Stanford. He speaks Chinese and Spanish.
