Melissa Anderson is Vice President and Head of Taxable Fixed Income Investment Technology at AllianceBernstein.
Melissa is responsible for establishing the strategic vision, project oversight and implementation of technology and data initiatives to drive product creation, create investment alpha, and improve overall process efficiency. Before joining Fixed Income, Melissa spent several years as a Global Technology and Operations program manager and as the Head of Business Innovation for Client Group Technology, building out the IT Program Management Office for the firm’s institutional and retail sales and marketing teams.
Prior to this, Melissa was a Director of IT Program Management for a decade, leading the PMO and strategic business partnerships to design, build, and support investment decision, research, and trading support software for the Fixed Income Investment and Trading Teams. Melissa joined AllianceBernstein in 2004 spending several years in Consultant Relations, and as an Associate Portfolio Manager on global and emerging markets portfolios. She holds a double BA in Economics and Journalism from New York University and an MBA from New York University. Melissa has been a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) since 2013. Melissa currently sits on the Executive Committee of AB women’s leadership group, Synergy. She is on the board of directors for two local organizations – Nashville’s Adventure Science Center and WiTT, Women in Technology Tennessee. Location: Nashville
