Yoke Keen currently leads Suncorp’s Investment Strategy team and is responsible for the strategic advice of the Group’s investment objectives and investment strategy including asset-liability management, asset allocation and risk management. She is also responsible for the management of portfolio exposures of the investments assets for the various entities within Suncorp Group. She has held various positions in Suncorp, including capital, investment and balance sheet management responsibilities.
Prior to joining Suncorp, Yoke Keen was an insurance investment specialist consultant at Mercer where she consulted to public and private insurers across the different sectors including Life, General, Health and accident compensation schemes. She provided strategic advice on multi-asset portfolio construction for balance sheet risk management and business goals such as asset-liability matching, profit volatility, return on equity, surplus volatility and target capital. She also led insurance investment management research and publications including the impact of APRA’s capital and prudential standards for investment strategies as well as Australia’s first insurance peer group performance survey. During her time at Mercer, she also provided asset allocation advice to superannuation and defined benefit schemes. Earlier in her career, she worked in Mercer Singapore’s office consulting to Asian sovereign wealth funds and large Asian pension funds on investment strategy and multi-manager portfolios.
Yoke Keen has over 15 years’ investment experience and holds a double degree in Actuarial Studies and Economics from Macquarie University. She is also a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries since 2009.
