
We are looking for a Senior Consultant to join the Frontier Team. As a Senior Consultant, you will help achieve Frontier Advisors’ business strategy by the delivery of high-quality asset consulting services and help grow the business by cultivating relationships, and enhancing Frontier’s brand and profile.
Key responsibilities include:
Client work management and relationships
Undertake client work and build and consolidate client relationships by:
- Maintaining awareness at all times of the clients for which you are directly responsible and to which you have been allocated.
- Taking responsibility for those relationships and for guiding less experienced staff who work with you on those client teams.
- Contributing effectively to the development and maintenance of client relationships by identifying and employing strategies to secure and/or enhance such relationships.
- Collaborating with clients to develop and implement responsible investment strategies aligned with their goals.
- Showing initiative and raising issues with clients’ portfolios with the client and segment team as you identify them.
- Providing high quality and timely advice to clients and becoming valued by the client.
- Ensuring that all work is subject to Frontier’s quality assurance processes.
- Ensuring full and up to date work lists are maintained for your clients and ensuring your client contracts are serviced to specification.
- Continue to develop the Frontier brand across multiple sectors.
- Proactively identify business development opportunities and have the confidence to pursue these with support from the broader business.
- Be available to attend and present at conferences with a view to building brand recognition and Frontier’s superior advice capabilities.
Investment or thematic research
Actively participate in Frontier’s investment research program, broaden investment knowledge to expand intellectual capital and add value to clients’ portfolios by:
- Specialising in assigned areas, areas of interest and areas which have the potential to add value to Frontier. Areas of specialisation are used for manager and investment research and may be developed with the goal of becoming a subject matter expert to assist other Frontier staff.
- Compiling and completing investment or thematic research papers within agreed timeframes.
- Ensuring all research pieces are peer reviewed.
- As requested, working with Frontier’s practice staff to develop their research capabilities.
Knowledge, skills and experience
The following capabilities are requirements of the position:
- Strong knowledge of investment management and asset allocation ideally including experience specifically in consulting or providing investment advice.
- Excellent organisation skills, an ability to work with external clients, consultants and advisers.
- Exemplary interpersonal skills and an ability to work in, and contribute to, a team environment by working co-operatively and effectively in an environment of mutual respect.
- Relevant experience and relationships across the superannuation and other institutional investment clients.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to communicate at all levels including, professional presentation to clients and staff.
- An ability to work with ambiguity within a commercially sensitive environment.
