We are pleased to announce the appointment of Martin Langham as a Senior Consultant within our client consulting division.
Martin joins Frontier from JANA Investment Advisors where he had been managing client relationships across both Australia and New Zealand, in addition to leading research on equities and alternative assets. Prior to this, he worked at Ernst & Young as an Assistant Manager in General Accounting and Insurance Advisory across the Cape Town and Melbourne offices.
Martin joins at an interesting time with the former investment team of State Super, under the leadership of Charles Wu, having all become Frontier employees in December 2025 as part of Frontier’s ICIO or independent chief investment officer service initiative.
Director of Consulting at Frontier, Kim Bowater, is excited to have Martin join her team.
“Martin will be a key member of our consulting team, working both in our “emerging institutional” team, which serves our endowment, foundation and wealth clients, as well as in our superannuation segment. His strong client consulting and technical background position him perfectly to lead clients and also contribute to our strategic initiatives and business development efforts, both in Australia and in New Zealand where he is well known in the market”, said Kim.
“Independent market analysis over many years has consistently ranked the capability of our consulting team as being market leading. When adding to our group we look for a strong academic foundation and a professional background that adds to the depth and diversity of our team. Martin meets both of those requirements and brings a really impressive attitude and enthusiasm for the opportunities we have in front of us currently.”
Martin will be based in Frontier’s Melbourne office and brings our headcount to exactly 100, a number boosted by several other appointments since the absorption of the former State Super team.
Louise Hulley recently joined in the role of Chief Operating Officer, along with Consultants Di Mo and Keean Tan in the Capital Markets and Investment Governance teams respectively. Three more additions to our growing pool of Analysts, in Matthew Parsons, Xize Guo and Jeffrey Cheng, a quantitative analyst, round out the batch of new starters.
Additionally, we are pleased to welcome RMIT Senior Lecturer Dr Gaoping Zheng into our office. We have made strong ties with several universities in recent years which has seen a number of PhD candidates in finance join Frontier as interns and ultimately into permanent roles. As part of this collaboration Dr Zheng will be spending time embedded inside the firm to strengthen the connection between Frontier and the academic community and to share perspectives and knowledge.
